Wycombe Unity FC Celebrates Progress at Mid-Season AGM
Wycombe Unity FC held its Mid-Season Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 16 December 2025, marking an important moment for the club as we reflected on our journey so far and celebrated the incredible progress made since the idea for the club first emerged earlier this year.
The AGM brought together players, families, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and supporters- the people who have helped turn a simple idea from April 2025 into a thriving and fast-growing football community.
From an Idea to a Growing Club
2025 has truly been a year of firsts for Wycombe Unity FC. After forming the club in April, we played our first friendly match in June. In early July, the club secured FA affiliation, followed by our official launch on 12 July and our first tournament appearance on 13 July. Momentum continued with our first league and cup fixtures, our first social event and inaugural football camps.
By the time of the AGM, Wycombe Unity FC had reached a fantastic milestone: 30 registered players in our very first year.
The evening also gave us the chance to review training attendance, registrations and league performance, as well as celebrate the club’s growing presence across social media.
Celebrating Our Players
A standout moment of the AGM was the Mid-Season Player Recognition Awards, honouring the achievements and individual qualities of players across the club.
Awards presented included the Mid-Season Golden Boot and the Golden Glove, alongside a wide range of additional recognitions celebrating dedication, bravery, teamwork, communication, discipline, consistency, positivity and work ethic.
These awards reflect a core part of the Wycombe Unity FC ethos: development is about much more than results. It’s about character, commitment and the contribution each player brings to their team.
Looking Ahead
The AGM also outlined our ambitions for the months ahead. Plans include more friendly matches, additional holiday football camps, discussions around Saturday league football and the intention to register more teams for the 2026/27 season.
The meeting also highlighted several ongoing priorities, including securing grants for equipment, continuing fundraising efforts and exploring future resources such as matchday cameras and club merchandise.
Importantly, the club expressed its aim to grow into something even bigger than football, building partnerships that could create opportunities such as stadium visits and, further ahead, potential work experience pathways for young people.
Thank You for Being Part of the Journey
Wycombe Unity FC is proudly volunteer-run, and the progress celebrated at the AGM would not have been possible without the time, commitment and support of everyone involved.
We would also like to recognise the sponsors and donors highlighted during the evening, who are Oak Lodge, BCS, Kaden Group, Intelligent Minds Tuition, Tech Support Squad, Premier Tyres, Khan Caterers, Mezza House and Al-Khair Supermarket.
The December AGM captured just how much has been achieved in only a few months. What began as an idea in April has already grown into a vibrant, welcoming football community.
As we move into 2026, we’re excited to build on these foundations and continue shaping the next chapter of Wycombe Unity FC.
The journey continues.
